Fullerotn, Calif. - On Dec. 10, 2010 former Titans Chad and Jamie Cordero tragically lost their daughter to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). In an effort to raise money and awareness to the cause, the Corderos will be hosting a bowling tournament and auction on Saturday, Mar. 31 at Lucky Strike Lanes in the Block of Orange.
The event "Strike Out SIDS" will benefit First Candle in the memory of their daughter, Tehya, and will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
SIDS is the sudden, unexpected death of an infant that remains unexplained after all other possible causes of death have been ruled out. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from the tournament and auction will go toward research and efforts to find a cure for this mysterious syndrome that affects nearly 2,500 babies and their families each year.
To bowl in the tournament the cost is \$50. If you would like to attend the event and not bowl, the donation will be \$25. To register or to get more information on the event, contact Jamie Cordero at (562) 304-6265 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also visit a page on Facebook at facebook.com/strikeoutsids.
