Titans-Aggies Postponed Until Sunday

March 10, 2012

College Station, Tex. - Saturday afternoon's non-conference baseball game between visiting No. 19 Cal State Fullerton and No. 6 Texas A&M has been postponed due to heavy thunderstorms in the College Station area. The game will resume Sunday at 12:05 p.m. CT / 10:05 a.m. PT and pick up with the game tied 5-5 in the top of the 10th inning.

Tyler Peitzmeier and Willie Kuhl had just struck out Jac Statum and Mikey Reynolds to end the ninth with the winning run on third base before the tarp was pull just before the storm hit.

Richy Pedroza singled home two runs in the top of the sixth inning and rounded the bases as the Aggies made two throwing errors. His hit tied the game at 4-4 and his run gave the Titans a 5-4 lead that lasted until the bottom of the eighth.

Jacob House's double just inside the leftfield line scored Matt Jenguel from second in the eighth to tie the game at 5-5. Juengel had singled and was picked off first, but Kenny Mathews' throw to first was wide of first allowing Juengel to move into scoring position.

Pedroza has two hits and three RBI in the game, Michael Lorenzen has two hits and a pair of runs scored.

Pitchers of record when the game resumes will be Willie Kuhl for Fullerton and Daniel Mengden for Texas A&M.

Game three of the series will begin approximately following the completion of Game 2. There will also not be an inning started after 5:30 p.m. CT due to Fullerton's travel arrangements.
