Attention Titan Baseball Alumni

Jan. 16, 2009

Fullerton, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton baseball program is looking for its alumni to participate in a pair of events honoring the program's long-standing baseball tradition.

First, with the anticipation of approval by the NCAA Board of Directors this coming weekend, the baseball program has scheduled its annual Alumni Game for Feb. 7 2009, at Goodwin Field beginning at 1 p.m.

The Saturday afternoon event will feature a full game between the current crop of Titans against dozens of former Cal State Fullerton baseball players from the past. Alumni will be treated to a postgame meal in the renovated Doubek VIP Room and will also receive admission to the Titans men's basketball game in Titan Gym later in the evening.

Then on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009, the Cal State Fullerton program will honor the 30th, 25th and 5th anniversaries of the 1979, 1984, and 2004 national championship squads, respectively, in a pregame ceremony preceding the Titans 1 p.m. game against TCU at Goodwin Field.

All alumni are welcome for the Sunday event, and will be provided a meal in the VIP Room during the game. Alumni participating in the pregame ceremony will receive tickets for their immediate family to attend, while all other alumni will receive two tickets for the Sunday afternoon game.

For former players wishing to participate in the 2009 Alumni Game and/or the Championship Anniversary Ceremony, please contact Marketing and Spirit Coordinator Kellie Cox at kelliecox@fullerton.edu or (714) 278-7016.
