BAKERSFIELD COLLEGE: Pitched two years at Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, Calif., under Head Coach Tim Painton • Was a unanimous selection for the All-Western State (South) Conference Pitcher of the Year Award after posting a 12-2 record and a 3.15 ERA in 123 innings for the Renegades in 2008 • Struck out 114 opposing batters and walked just 24, compiling five complete games in 16 starts • Made one relief appearance on the year • As a freshman, went 3-4 with a 4.70 ERA in 11 starts • Struck out 65 hitters in 67 innings pitched in 2007 and earned a spot on the All-WSC Second Team. Drafted in the 26th round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Minnesota Twins and the 22nd round of the 2008 draft.
