CYPRESS HS: Played varsity baseball for four seasons at Cypress High School in Cypress, Calif., under Head Coach John Weber In his last three seasons, earned All-Empire League recognition at three different positions (3B, P, OF) Was named Empire League Pitcher of the Year in 2005 as a junior, when he posted an 11-1 record with a 1.83 ERA and 73 strikeouts in 2005 Was a 2005 unanimous pick as a first-team all-league, all-CIF, and all-county player, helping the Centurions to a Div.
