US NATIONAL TEAM `08: Was one of three Titans (along with Josh Fellhauer and Jared Clark) to play a key role for the 2008 Team USA squad that finished a perfect 24-0 en route to the FISU World Championship gold medal in the Czech Republic • Was the only National Team player to start every single game playing both shortstop and second base • Hit .263 and shared the team-lead with Fellhauer in hits, with 26 • Posted a pair of doubles, a home run and 14 RBI and led the squad with five stolen bases • Scooped up the grounder at shortstop and fired to teammate Clark at first base for the final out of the FISU Championship gold medal game to conclude the first perfect tournament season for Team USA.

TITANS `08: Was named a Freshman All-American by Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball and Rivals.com and a Big West Conference Honorable mention in his rookie season with the Titans • Was the only Fullerton player to play in all 63 games in 2008 • Picked up his first career hit and RBI in his first collegiate game, Feb. 22 at TCU • Hit his first career home run on Mar. 8 at TCU • Set the Fullerton record for sacrifice bunts in a season with 21, breaking Jack Jones' (1995) and Robert Guzman's (2001) old record of 19; and also ranked third in the nation • Had 25 multi-hit games in 2008 (second most on the team) including four three-hit games and a pair of four-hit games (Apr. 11 and 13) versus Cal State Northridge • Had his most productive 10-game span from March 29 to Apr. 13 when he went 19-for 42 (.452) with 11 RBI • Was named the Big West Player of the Week on Apr. 7 after going 7-for-16 (.438) with five RBI from Apr. 1 to Apr. 6 in games against LMU and UC Irvine • Had a season high seven-game hitting streak from May 11-23 when he went 11-for-27 (.407) with four RBI; also had five- and six-game hitting streaks in 2008 • Ranked 3rd in the Big West in runs scored (59), 8th in hits (80), tied for 1st in hit by pitch (13), 1st in sacrifice hits (21), 2nd in plate appearances (297), and 4th in at bats (243) • Drove in a season-best five RBI on May 30 against Rider in the Titans' 11-0 win in the Fullerton Regional • Was named to the Fullerton Regional all-tournament team after going 9-for-20 with 8 RBI in the Titans' five Regional games.

MIDWAY/TAYLORSVILLE/CANYON HS: In all, was a four-year varsity letterman at three different schools • Transferred often due to his father's job in the pharmaceutical industry • Played his freshman year at Midway High School in Waco, Texas, where he was the team's RBI leader and Best Defensive Player, earning all-state recognition • Earned a second all-state nod as a sophomore at Taylorsville High School in West Jordan, Utah, where he was a batting champion and the team's most valuable player • Moved to Corona, Calif., in March of 2006 missing the first 10 games of the `06 season at Canyon High School in Anaheim, Calif. • Played two seasons for Head Coach Joe Hoggett • Hit a home run in his second at bat of his first game with the Comanches • Hit .413 and earned the Century League's Rookie of the Year Award in 2006 and also received all-county recognition • Was a 2007 All-Century League first-teamer and earned all-county recognition for a second time after hitting .435 with three home runs, 16 RBI and 16 stolen bases • Was named the Most Valuable Player of the Aflac All-American High School Baseball Classic in 2006, picking up a pair of hits, stealing three bases and scoring three runs to lead the West to a 9-8 victory • Played his way onto the junior national team trials roster with his performance at USA Baseball's Tournament of Stars in Joplin, Mo., in the summer of 2006 • Was drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 10th round of the 2007 MLB first-year player draft.
