Former Titan Qualifies for U.S. Marathon Trials

Houston, TX - Former Titan distance runner Nick Arciniaga (CSF '06) finished second in the Houston Marathon Sunday and qualified for the U.S. Olympic trials.

Scheduled to run only as a pacer for 25 kilometers for teammate Brett Gotcher, Arciniaga instead felt good and kept on running, posting a career-best time of 2:11.30 to trail only Bekana Daba of Ethiopia (2:07.04) and pick up \$17,000 in prize money. Gotcher placed sixth.
