Cal Coast Track Club Sweeps Titan Invitational

Fullerton, Calif. - Cal Coast Track Club won both the men's and women's races at the Titan Invitational Cross Country Meet Friday afternoon at Cal State Fullerton. Cal State San Marcos paced the collegiate runners by placing second in the men's race and third in the women's race, one notch ahead of Pepperdine in both competitions. Host Cal State Fullerton did not enter a men's team and its "B" women's squad placed fifth. The individual winners were Ceci St. Geme of Cal Coast in the women's 5K in a time of 16:47. Unattached Fitsum Tesfa won the men's race in 24:23. The top Titan female runner was Dahamar Perez, who ran 20th in 18:52 although redshirt Luz Valdez ran 10th in 18:17.
