FULLERTON, Calif. - Cal State Fullerton cross country hosted its annual PRs & Pancakes fundraiser on Aug. 26 at Joe's No Limits Bar & Grill. After running the Clash of the Titans 5K, roughly 100 people packed Joe's to partake silent auction and enjoy some delicious food. Overall, the cross country program was able to raise nearly $8,000.
Attendees of the event had an opportunity to interact with the 2017 men's and women's cross country teams just prior to the start of their season on Sept. 2. Athletic director Jim Donovan was in attendance as well and spoke to the audience, thanking them for their support of the Titans.
"I'm very thankful for the support we received from alumni, parents, faculty and others at the PRs & Pancakes event," head coach John Elders said. "It was a really fun time, and it was great to connect with those that attended. I'm super excited about our teams this year, and this was a great way to kick it off."
Fans will have a chance to watch the Titans in action on Saturday morning when they host the Mark Covert Classic at Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, Calif. The men will run an 8,000-meter race that commences at 8 a.m. PT while the women's 5K is set to start at 8:45 a.m.
