Harrisonburg, Virginia - Kenny McDaniel has completed a 10-day certification course at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and is now recognized as a Level II track and field coach for sprints, hurdles and relays at Cal State Fullerton.
The classes cover biomechanics, physiology of exercise, psychology and training theory. The course focuses on the technical aspects of the chosen event group using video analysis, group projects, classroom instruction and hands-on training. Devising a training program and a final exam conclude the course.
McDaniel, who came to Fullerton two years ago from San Francisco State and sent two relay teams to the NCAA Regional Championships this Spring, completed his Level I program in 1999 in Texas.
