Windsor, Ontario, Canada - Carolyn Ellis, who will be a junior next year at Cal State Fullerton, placed fifth in the 3000 meter steeplechase at the Canadian Olympic Trials on July 6 in Windsor, Ontario with a time of 10:39.85.

While she failed to qualify for the Olympics, she did qualify to represent Canada at the North and Central American Under 23 Championships in Toluca, Mexico, on July 20. Her parents are alumni of Guelph Running, a major Canadian running organization.
