Former Titan Runs 8th in Olympic Marathon Trials

Houston, Tex. - Former Cal State Fullerton distance runner Nick Arciniaga placed eighth in the U.S. Olympic Trials Marathon Saturday but failed to qualify for the team.

Arciniaga's time was 2:11.56, right on pace with his personal best but a little more than 2 minutes behind third place, the final qualifying spot. Meb Keflezighi was the winner in 2:09:08 followed by Ryan Hall in 2:09:30 and Abdi Abdirahman at 2:09.47.

Another former Titan, Jordan Horn, finished 64th in 2:21.56 in the first marathon of his career. He had qualified with a fast time in a half marathon.
