Former Titan track and field All-American (high jump, 2002) and 4-year basketball letterman began his Div. I coaching career at his alma mater in 2006-07. Campbell competed in the NCAA Championships in both the high jump and long jump and holds numerous school records: 46.98 in the 400 meters; 25-10 in the long jump; 6,637 points in the decathlon; 7-4 1/2 in the high jump; and he is a member of the 4x100 (40.15) and 4x400 (3:10.46) relay teams. He was the Big West Conference Male Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2001. He earned his bachelors degree in 2005 in sociology and spent the year prior to his CSF appointment as a personal speed coach and assisted at Huntington Beach High School, where he qualified three individuals for the CIF Championships. Campbell played five seasons with the Titan basketball team despite nagging foot injuries that twice limited him to only two games in a full season. Twice he did play in every game of the season and for his career he appeared in 84 games, averaging 8.3 points and 3.4 rebounds. He lives in Placentia. |
