FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton track and field head coach John Elders announced the men's and women's outdoor track and field schedule on Friday. The season begins for the Titans on March 3 at the RCC, UCR and Pepperdine Quad in Riverside, Calif.
After opening up the season in Riverside, the Titans return home to host the Ben Brown Invitational at the Titan Track Complex on March 9-10. CSF also hosts the Titan Team Challenge on March 31.
Also in March, the Titans compete at the UC Irvine Spring Break Invite (March 16), USC Trojan Invite (March 16-17), UCR Spring Classic) and the UCLA Bob Larson Distance Carnival (March 30).
The squad opens up April with the Big West Challenge on April 6 in Irvine, Calif. On the weekend of April 13-14, the team will be split up between the UCSD Triton Invite and the Highlander Twilight. Between April 18-21, the Titans will be split amongst four different meets. Those meets include the California Invitational/Mt. SAC Relays Multis (April 18-19), Pacific Coast Invitational (April 19), Bryan Clay Invite (April 19) and then the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays (April 19-21). The ensuing weekend, CSF will be split between the Penn Relays (April 26-28) and the Steve Scott Invitational (April 27-28).
On May 4-5, the Big West Combined Events take place for the heptathletes and decathletes in Northridge, Calif. The rest of the team will compete at the Oxy Invite on May 5.
The Big West Championships will be hosted by Cal State Northridge on May 11-12.
This year, the NCAA DI West Preliminary Round is being hosted by Sacramento State at Hornets Stadium on May 24-26.
As always, the season ends at Historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. The meet is scheduled from June 6-9 and hosted by the University of Oregon.
