Both the Titan men's and women's teams went 2-1 over the weekend in a quadrangular fencing meet at UC San Diego.

Both squads defeated Cal Tech (men, 16-11; women, 11-4) and UC Irvine (men, 16-11; women, 10-8) and lost to the host Tritons (men, 22-5; women, 23-4). Jake Jennings was 8-1 in men's epee, Jon Ott was 7-2 in men's sabre and Eugene Park was 6-3 in men's epee while Erika Diaz was 8-7 and Amber Stumpf was 5-4, both in women's sabre.

The fencers do not compete again until the Western Invitational in Colorado Springs on Jan. 12, 2008.
