Both the Titans' men and women's fencing teams posted 2-1 records Sunday in a rare home competition with Cal Tech, UC San Diego and UC Irvine.

The men beat UCI, 19-8, and Cal Tech, 22-5, while losing to UCSD, 17-10. The women beat UCI, 15-9, and CalTech, 14-13, but lost to UCSD, 20-7.

Rachel Allen was the only unbeaten Titan on the day, going 9-0 in women's sabre. Christine Kuark was 8-1 in women's foil.

On the men's side, Jon Cresante (foil) and Jake Jennings (epee) went 8-1 while Michael Hill was 7-2 in foil and George Chang and Thomas Brewer each went 6-3 in epee.
