Women's Soccer (4-3-1, 1-0-0)...
After splitting a pair of matches, the Titans continue a five-match road swing this weekend as they travel north to face a pair for former conference foes. Fullerton will take on San Jose State on Friday night before heading to the Central Valley to take on Fresno State on Sunday afternoon.

The Titans saw their three-match winning streak snapped at home on Thursday as LMU's Jamie Bell scored with just three minutes left in overtime in the Lions' 2-1 victory. Senior Lauren Cram scored her third consecutive goal just 51 seconds into the match - the third-fastest goal in school history.

Fullerton got back on track on Sunday on the road as the Titans defeated Big West newcomer UC Davis, 2-0, in the league opener for both teams. A pair of first half goals were all Fullerton needed as senior Brianna Buffington scored in the ninth minute for the game-winner and Cram scored for the third-straight match in the 16th minute.

Men's Soccer (4-3-0, 0-0-0)...
The Big West Conference season begins for the Cal State Fullerton men's soccer team this weekend in the familiar confines of Titan Stadium as the Titans play host to conference-leading Cal Poly on Saturday night.

Fullerton is coming off thrilling overtime victory over Coastal Carolina in its lone match of the week as senior Skyler Thuresson scored his second goal of the year just under four minutes into the extra period for the 2-1 win.

The Titans, who outshot CCU by a 30-7 margin in the match, snapped a three-match losing streak overall in improving to 4-3 in 2007, but needed an own goal in the 63rd minute to tie the match after the Chanticleers had taken the lead in the 49th minute.

Women's Volleyball (7-5, 2-0)...
After a successful start to the Big West Conference season, the Titans host Southern California rival Loyola Marymount this week before heading to Cal State Northridge to continue league action.

Fullerton is 2-0 to start Big West play for only the second time in the history of the program after sweeping conference newcomer UC Davis and defeating Pacific in four games at Titan Gym last weekend.

Junior Brittany Moore had another big weekend for the Titans as she combined for 31 kills and 16 digs - including 19 kills against Pacific to lead three other Titans in double figures as Fullerton posted its fifth win over Pacific in its last six tries.

Sophomore Alex Wolnisty also contributed to the attack with a combined 27 kills and six blocks on the weekend while junior Jennifer Francisco had a career-high 16-kill, 20-dig performance against the Tigers while hitting .405 on the night.

Cross Country...
Under threatening skies senior Juliane Masciana and sophomore Sergio Tapia led the Titans in the Women's 6K and Men's 8K run at the Pepperdine Cross Country Invitational in Malibu Saturday morning. The Titans finished second as a team in both the men's and women's competition.

Tapia led the Titans on the soggy course finishing fifth with a 24:53.08 time, pacing the men who placed three runners in the top ten. Behind Tapia were Eddie Perez (7th, 25:57.50) and Jeff Mackay (24:58.50) with 7th and 8th place finishes, respectively.

Masciana finished sixth overall for the women, running course in 21:00.14 and was followed by teammates Andrea Aguilar (13th, 21:11.47), Grace Gonzalez (15th, 21:14.69), Gail Munoz (16th, 21:15.51) and Amanda Eichmann (18th, 21:18.72) to round out the invitational's top 20 finishers.

Winning the 8K race was Fresno State's freshman Erick Garcia (24:25.23), while USC's freshman Sarah Cocco won the 6K finishing in 20:00.00 flat.

Fullerton will next race on Sept. 29 in split squad runs at UC Riverside in the morning and Stanford in the afternoon.

UNIVERSITY OF VILLAGE STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Senior harrier Juliane Masciana finished sixth overall for the Cal State Fullerton women's cross country team to help the Titans to a second place finish as a team at the Pepperdine Invitational and their first-ever regional ranking (No. 13) this week. Masciana covered the course in a team-best 21:00.14 to lead a pack of five Fullerton runners in the top 20.
