BASEBALL SUMMER CAMPS
The Titan Baseball Academy offers opportunities for campers of all ages to improve their baseball skills. The camps will include fundamentals of hitting, fielding, pitching, base running, and the specifics of each camper's selected position. Private Instruction is also available.

There are no summer camps scheduled for 2006.



BOB BURTON BASKETBALL CAMP
With over 30 years of coaching under his belt, Bob Burton completed his third season as Head Coach of the Cal State Fullerton men's basketball program in 2006, leading the squad to another winning season (16-13), the school's first back-to-back winning slates in more than two decades. Previously, Burton was an assistant coach at Fresno State, helping guide the Bulldogs to a 20-win season and a first-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference. Prior to Fresno State, Burton was head coach at West Valley Community College where he compiled a 488-158 record in 21 seasons, three times reaching the state championship game. In his tenure at West Valley, Burton won eight conference titles, and was selected the conference coach of the year nine times. Recently, Burton was enshrined in the California Community College Hall of Fame.

CAMP STAFF
The staff is comprised of Cal State Fullerton coaches and some of the finest high school and college coaches in the region, as well as current and former college players.

GUEST LECTURES
There will be several guest lectures throughout the camp. Our goal is to bring in some of the finest basketball players and coaches in the area to provide insight into the fundamentals taught during the camp. Lecturers will include current Titan players and coaches as well as other former college players.

Session 1: June 26-30, 2006
  • Cost: $225 ($100 non-refundable deposit required... balance due at registration on the first day of camp)
  • Camp runs from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday

    Session 2: July 17-21, 2006
  • Cost: $225 ($100 non-refundable deposit required... balance due at camp registration on the first day of camp)
  • Camp runs from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday

    Camp ends on Friday with an awards ceremony. Parents are encouraged to visit camp anytime throughout the week... Camp format and guest lecturers may change without notice.

    The camp will be held at Titan Gymnasium, located on the campus of Cal State Fullerton. Lunch items, pizza, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase from the concession stand during lunch and after camp each day. Campers are welcome to bring their own lunches and drinks.

    Full-time athletic trainers will be on duty throughout the camp. Any medication or medical problems must be reported to the athletic trainer upon arrival.

    Campers should come dressed in a T-shirt, shorts, and basketball shoes. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt, which is theirs to keep.

    Offensively, some of the fundementals taught will be shooting, ball handling, passing, screening, the fast break, and team concepts. Defensively, basic stance, foot work, rebounding, court vision, and team concepts will be stressed. This camp is designed to encourage enjoyment and excitement from basketball, while still maintaining a structured learning environment.

    Throughout the camp there will be contests, including one-on-one competition, hot-shot, and foul shooting with prizes awarded to the winners.

    Special awards will be presented to campers who demonstrate outstanding leadership, enthusiasm, ability, and attitude.

    Each camper will receive free admission to a designated Titan basketball home game for the 2006-07 season.

    2006 SOFTBALL CAMP INFORMATIONnew
    Cal State Fullerton will be offering four different camps this covering all aspects of the game of softball.

    PITCHING/CATCHING CLINIC • July 17th, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    This camp will cover the fundamentals of the underhand/windmill pitch. It is for any pitcher who would like to work on pitching mechanics, accuracy, speed, and the mental game. The camp will also cover information for the more developed pitcher who would like to work on their moving pitches.

    Catchers will receive instruction in the basic fundamentals of catching. The will get the opportunity to catch live pitching as well as work on their catching skills.

    HITTING CLINIC • July 18th, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    This camp will cover the fundamentals of the swing. We will teach basic hitting mechanics and go through drills to work on those mechanics. Fundamental short game techniques will also be touched upon.

    DEFENSE CLINIC • July 19th, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    This camp will cover the fundamentals of defense. We will start with basic drills to work on proper mechanics and, eventually, move to working on to position-specific drills and activities.

    ALL SKILLS CAMP • July 31st- Aug. 2, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. & Aug. 3, 9 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
    This camp will cover all aspects of the game of softball. Hitting, defense (specific position play), base running, the overhand throw, and the mental game will all be covered. On the final day, campers will be broken up into teams and play a small tournament. All ages are encouraged to attend and group pricing is available upon request. Registration deadline is July 15, 2006.

    This is an excellent opportunity for high school and college players to receive top-notch training, as well as visibility, by the Fullerton coaching staff. Over the past three years, an average of two players (seniors) have made the CSUF team at the entry level from this camp.

    Day ONLY -- $175 before June 1, 2006; and $195 after June 1, 2006

    All-you-can-eat buffet lunch and dinner -- $70

    FULLERTON FUTBOL ACADEMY

    Women's Soccer Camp Online Registration Banner

    The Fullerton Futbol Academy was founded in 2001 by Cal State Fullerton Head Women's Soccer Coach, Ali Khosroshahin. The academy holds summer and winter camps that emphasize the technical and tactical development of youth soccer players. Individual instruction is also available.

    The FFA coaching staff is led by Khosroshahin, who has established a winning tradition at Fullerton, compiling a 64-32-4 record and has twice been named Big West Conference Coach of the Year (2001 & 2005). He is also a member of the coaching staff for the Mexican Women's National Team and served as an assistant coach during the 1999 Women's World Cup.

    Currently, Khosroshahin is on staff with the Mexico U-20 Women's National Team, which recently qualified for the 2006 U-20 Women's World Championships in Russia (Aug. 16-Sept. 2, 2006).

    Other members of the FFA staff include Cal State Fullerton Assistant Coaches Demian Brown, Laura Janke, and Scott Alexander, along with current members of the Cal State Fullerton soccer team.
