Athletics Compliance Office Assistant

The CSU, Fullerton Athletics sports compliance office is currently seeking an Athletics Compliance Office Assistant for the Spring 2019 semester with the possibility of extending based on departmental needs.

Pay Rate/Hours: $14/hour; P-T (20 hours per week)

Job Description
Cal State Fullerton, an NCAA Division I member of the Big West Conference, located in Fullerton, California and offers 15 varsity sports, is currently seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Athletics Compliance Assistant for the Spring. The position is a part-time, intermittent, non-benefitted position.

 Major Responsibilities:

- Assist with monitoring and recruiting activities

- Assist with creating compliance newsletters

- Assist in the rules education efforts of the compliance office

- Assist with initial academic evaluations

- Other general office, reporting, and departmental related duties as assigned

Primary Duties: The Athletics Compliance Assistant will assist the Compliance Officer with maintaining compliance with NCAA, Big West Conference and University rules and regulations in the areas of recruiting, playing and practice seasons, camps/clinics, financial aid and other campus areas.  Will also assist with institutional reporting and National Letter of Intent program. Other duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions: Must maintain working knowledge of compliance with relevant NCAA and conference rules and must immediately report any concerns or violations.

Application Procedure:  A bachelor’s degree is required, with the ability to apply Division 1 NCAA compliance rules and regulations. Strong organizational skills combined with the ability to interact with a diverse population. Ability to learn, interpret, and apply a wide variety of policies and procedures related to and impacting the program. Research oriented and computer and software applications savvy.

Employment may be contingent upon satisfactorily completing both Background Check and Live Scan fingerprinting. Executive Order 1083 Child Abuse and Neglect reporting may also be required for this role.

Schedule and Availability:  Candidate must be available to work at least 20 hours per week, M-F between the hours of 8:00am -5:00pm.
