Kellie Newman assumed her post on Nov. 1, 2010. She had been Cal State Fullerton's marketing coordinator since Sept. 1, 2008.

As Kellie Cox, she was a member of the Titans' women's soccer team from 2001 through 2005. She was selected the Big West Conference Midfielder of the Year in 2004 and Offensive Player of the Year in 2005.

Kellie received her bachelor's degree in 2006 in business administration and her MBA in 2008. She and her husband, Andy, the interim men's basketball head coach, live in Newport Beach.
